Yahoo! plans to upgrade its products including their free e-mail service, the Yahoo! Mail. The company has announced the launch of a cleaner, faster and sociable interface of Yahoo! Mail.
Rather than fighting the popularity of Facebook, Yahoo has been trying to integrate with social network by enabling its e-mail users to interact with their friends from Facebook directly from their inboxes. The e-mail users will also be able to tweet to their Twitter accounts. The users also can keep updated with their friends’ updates from Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr using “What’s New” tab. And one more good news is – Yahoo! Mail is working faster in the coming version.
Yahoo has also made its e-mail client more social where if a user sends you a link from Youtube or Flickr, those involved photos or videos will automatically be embedded in the e-mail. In the same time the anti-spam function will be upgraded and maintain Yahoo! Mail as the first email provider which protects users from spam emails.
Yahoo! Mail Beta expected to be introduced before the end of this year.
So what do you think of this new version of Yahoo! Mail! Can it compete with Hotmail and Gmail? Well, let’s wait and see.
