Celcom Introduces Micro SIM Cards in Malaysia

Nasrul HanisBy Nasrul HanisSeptember 22, 2010No Comments1 Min Read

Well, I guess this is a good news for some fellas.

Celcom Axiata Bhd will be introduce micro SIM cards starting from next month at all its branches and selected Blue Cube centres.

The current devices in the market which are using the micro SIM are the iPhone 4 and the iPad 3G. However, I’m not sure whether Celcom will introduce their own iPhone or not.

Starting from 1st of October Celcom customers can exchange their standard SIM card with a micro SIM for RM10 at any Celcom branch and selected Blue Cube outlets. Besides that customers who are subscribing to a new mobile broadband plan could also select to use micro SIM card instead of the standard SIM card.

The micro SIM (15mm in width and 12mm in height) is smaller than the standard SIM card (25mm in width and 15mm in height).

What do you think about it? Let’s wait and see (or try to get the micro SIM for yourself!) 😉
