We all love gaming, and sometimes we love it more than seeing our friends or remembering to feed the cat.
Yes, we’ve all been there.
You can get so engrossed in a game that the idea of doing anything else just seems completely unappealing.
Here are the games that will really kill your social life.
Football Manager
If you love football, then you have probably played Football Manager at some point in your life. It has become known as the pinnacle of not just football management games, but all sports management games. You can get completely lost in it, and it’s a game that doesn’t really end. You can play through seasons and seasons. The only reason to end your save and start a new one is when you get bored of winning the Champions League with your local team. There is so much to love about it, not least of all its attention to detail, which is quite staggering.
Minecraft
Who doesn’t love Minecraft? I think the only people who don’t are the people who haven’t got round to playing it yet. Once you get engrossed in the world that you can create with your own two hands (and a controller), there’s no stopping you. You can fight off the hordes of monsters, build a home that is just how you want it and still never get bored. And even if you do (somehow) get bored with it, you can then try out the different online mode. They offer different kinds of fun that you should definitely try out. You can use Apex Minecraft Hosting if you want to create a server and start playing with others online.
Grand Theft Auto
Once you are invested in those GTA characters and the world is yours to explore, it can be hard to put the controller down. That’s just the way it is with Grand Theft Auto, and it’s always been the case. Rockstar is a games company that really know how to create those games that you can’t stop playing. For me, the best is still GTA IV. But many people will argue that the one that followed it was better. It’s certainly true that GTA V came up with even more ways to keep you occupied. You could build a property empire, play tennis and golf, and climb mountains. It’s one of those games in which the story mode is only a small part of the game’s appeal.
World of Warcraft
True, this game is not for everyone. And some would say that it is niche. But that ignore the fact that millions of people around the world log onto this game each day and continue to play. It has survived for so long where other games came and went. Nobody plays The Sims the way that they used to. But many people still love World of Warcraft. In fact, they’re even making a movie about it right now. The film could be great, or it could be really terrible. But one thing’s for sure; the game is not about to lose its appeal anytime soon. The fans show no sign of losing interest in this series.
The past is amazing. But the future is still so much bigger than the past. Technology is so much fun but we can drown in our technology as the fog of information can drive out knowledge.
